The Polk Signature Elite ES55 floor-standing speaker is a fantastic choice, whether you're building a dedicated stereo system for music or setting up a full home theater. If you buy a pair, they will fill your room with exceptionally clean, high-resolution sound—perfect for music. Alternatively, they work great as the main front left and right speakers in a surround sound setup. Plus, with their smooth, modern design, they'll look really nice in your living space.

Built for smooth sound

The ES55 is built using premium materials specifically to produce natural audio with minimal sound distortion. It features a 1-inch Terylene dome tweeter that delivers high-resolution audio, resulting in clear, detailed high notes and realistic vocals and instruments. For the lower sounds, there are two highly efficient 6-1/2 inch Dynamic Balance® woofers made from lightweight but durable mica-reinforced polypropylene. The cabinet itself is constructed from non-resonant MDF (a dense wood composite) and has an anti-diffraction magnetic grille—both work to reduce vibrations and distortion that can make sound messy. Finally, Polk includes their unique Power Port technology to significantly boost the bass, making the low frequencies much more impactful.
