This is Polk's Signature Elite ES50 floor-standing speaker, and it's an excellent value. It offers a surprisingly big sound for its price. Whether you use a pair as the main front speakers in your home theater or as stereo speakers for listening to high-resolution music, these towers will give you a fantastic return on your investment by delivering clean, detailed audio. Plus, their sleek, stylish look means they will easily fit in and look great with your living room decor.

Built for smooth sound

The ES50 is built with excellent materials to produce natural-sounding audio with very little distortion. For the high frequencies, it features a 1-inch Terylene dome tweeter that captures high-resolution detail, ensuring the high notes are clear and intricate and that voices and instruments sound realistic. The lower range is handled by two highly efficient 5-1/4 inch Dynamic Balance® woofers made from lightweight, tough mica-reinforced polypropylene. To keep the sound clean, the cabinet uses a non-resonant MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) construction along with an anti-diffraction magnetic grille, both of which work to minimize vibrations and distortion. Finally, Polk's proprietary Power Port technology is included to significantly enhance the bass impact.
